About Our Organization
Since 1978, the La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation has raised over $24 million for the La Cañada Unified School District. Founded in response to Prop 13 so that LCUSD schools could maintain enrichment programs such as art, music and drama as well as critical counseling support, the Foundation’s funding has grown over the years making class size reduction in grades K-6 and 9th grade English and math its cornerstone. Additionally, LCFEF is instrumental in providing the lowest student to college counseling ratio of any Unified School district in California and has made a large investment in technology infrastructure, training and equipment. Additionally, the LCFEF provides a WASC-accredited summer school program for high school students, allowing them to work ahead or remediate grades. The Foundation is the ONLY fund raising organization that funds salaries for the District. We pay for the teachers on whom our children depend.
